The Financial Crime Group (FCG) is made up of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Asset Recovery Units (ARU), Money Laundering Teams (MLT) and Virtual Assets Team (VAT) with a presence across all Districts. The purpose of the FCG is to investigate and deny criminals the opportunity to benefit from their offending or the ability to re-invest in criminal activity.
The restraint and forfeiture of significant cash and assets derived from criminal activity is now acknowledged as one of the key success measures related to serious criminal investigations. Working as part of a dedicated, mixed-capability team, the Financial Support Assistant provides key administrative support to the financial specialists across ARU and MLT.
In this role you will utilise your strong timekeeping and organisation skills to create, manage and file critical financial documents, including Excel spreadsheets, invoices and financial records, to support ongoing Police investigations and office functions.
In addition, you will assist with the transcription of intercepted communications and the collection and collation of intelligence, therefore strong written English language skills and good typing speeds are essential.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63,526 and $66,312 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
