About the Roles
We are seeking motivated and experienced Senior Radiation Therapists to join our dynamic team. These are key leadership positions responsible for coordinating resources, workflow, and staffing needs within a designated clinical team to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

You will bring proven leadership experience, with a strong focus on accountability and the ability to support, coach, and guide your team. Youll be expected to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment, while also managing operational demands and addressing any barriers to service delivery.
Your clinical expertise will be relied upon to resolve issues as they arise and to lead the implementation of new patient care processes and service delivery models. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a sound knowledge of contemporary Radiation Therapy practices.
In addition to the above we are also seeking an RT with expertise in treatment planning to join our team of Specialist RTs.
The Specialist Radiation Therapist is an Allied Health professional providing specialist knowledge to ensure that patients receive high quality evidence-based Radiation Therapy treatment in the Regional Radiation Oncology service. They will work within the Radiation Therapy department to utilise the Radiation Therapy technologies and techniques to optimise both patient care and outcomes, while maintaining efficiency and safety of the service.
To achieve the key accountabilities of the role, the Specialist Radiation Therapist will be expected to work in conjunction with the Radiation Therapy Head, RT Professional Leader, RT Clinical Team Leaders, Advanced Practitioner RTs, Senior, Specialist and Staff RTs and members of the regional multidisciplinary team whilst demonstrating and modelling a high level of clinical expertise, leadership and professionalism.

This role sits within the Radiation Therapy service, a vital part of Te Puriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service. Our team includes nearly 80 FTEs, delivering approximately 48,000 radiation therapy treatments annually to patients across the Northern region.

Te Puriri o Te Ora is the name that has been gifted to our northern regional cancer and blood services by Kahurangi Rangimarie Naida Glavish of Ngati Whatua, Chief Advisor Tikanga for Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Te Puriri o Te Ora means "the Puriri tree of wellbeing" and speaks to the many qualities and gifts of the Puriri tree and our aspiration to provide a place of healing and wellbeing for our communities.
Te Puriri o Te Ora is the biggest cancer and blood service within Aotearoa, providing care to approximately 40% of the country. About you
To be considered for the position, you will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Radiation therapy with MRTB registration and a valid APC.
