Full Time Dental Assistant

We're on the lookout for a positive, energetic Dental Assistant to join our awesome team in Hamilton!

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday : 8am - 5pm

Job commencing : 12th January 2026 - however, we can be flexible on start date for the right candidate

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and ensuring the work area is clean and organised

Sterilising and disinfecting instruments and equipment, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the dental clinic

Greeting patients, escorting them to the treatment room, and ensuring they are comfortable throughout their visit

Updating patient records and processing payments

Ordering and maintaining an adequate stock of dental supplies

Providing support and guidance to other members of the dental team as needed

What we’re looking for

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or a similar role in a dental practice; however, for the right candidate, on-the-job training will be considered.

Someone friendly, upbeat and great at communicating with people.

Reliable, organised, and happy to jump in wherever needed

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies

A caring and empathetic approach to patient care

Flexibility with your schedule and access to a vehicle, as you will be required to work at dual locations (Victoria Street Clinic and Hamilton High Schools)
