As a GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the development of robust and precise control systems for our cutting‑edge autonomous platforms. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and testing the algorithms that enable our vehicles to navigate accurately and perform their missions reliably in diverse environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for various autonomous vehicle platforms (UAVs, UGVs, USVs).
• Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis of GNC systems to predict performance and optimise design.
• Develop and implement sensor fusion algorithms (e.g., GPS, IMU, LiDAR, vision) for accurate state estimation.
• Perform tuning and calibration of GNC systems to achieve desired performance characteristics.
• Collaborate with the software team on the integration of GNC algorithms into the embedded software architecture.
• Design and execute rigorous testing and validation strategies for GNC systems in simulation and on physical platforms.
• Analyse test data, identify root causes of anomalies, and work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GNC performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of GNC system designs based on testing and operational insights.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of GNC designs, algorithms, and test results.

Preferred Qualifications

What We Offer

Salary range : $80,000 - 90,000 NZD depending on level of experience.

Minimum guaranteed hours of work : 40 hours per week, 8 : 30‑5pm, Monday – Friday.
