  • Salary between $114,025 and $121,444 per annum pro-rata

    About the role

    In this role you will work alongside the incumbent Nurse Educator to advance clinical skills, plan and implement workshops, facilitate mandatory training and simulation activities and support professional development.

    We are looking for a Nurse Educator to step into this part-time, permanent role to continue to support new and existing staff within Lakes District Hospital with the provision of education, training and resources that ensure practice is current, evidence based and fit for purpose.

    A born communicator and collaborator with the inherent ability to build successful working relationships, this role will see you working alongside nurses, medical colleagues as well as other educators within the wider PDU team to provide practice and professional development opportunities that enhance service delivery, quality and safety alongside improved patient outcomes.

    Participating in the recruitment of new nurses, developing and implementing their orientation programme is all part of the job.

    About you

    You will have considerable post-graduate experience in general and emergency nursing, professional credibility in the clinical setting with the confidence and passion for supporting and developing fellow nurses and health care colleagues.

    You must have first-rate knowledge of the professional standards and regulations for nurses plus superior written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

    It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate, either hold, or be working towards an appropriate postgraduate qualification, and hold, or ready to submit, a current PDRP.
