• Allied Health Unit, Dunedin Hospital
• Permanent, part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week)
• Tuesday - Friday, 8.30am to 3pm
• Salary band - $72,074 - $86,719 p.a pro-rata

• About the role
• We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Dunedin Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and personable individual to support our patients' therapy and discharge planning alongside allied health clinicians in an inpatient setting.
• You will work with, and under the direction of a diverse team, including :
• social workers
• speech and language therapists
• dietitians
• physiotherapists
• occupational therapists.Please note that this role may require you to do some weekend work, so flexibility is essential.

• To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate :
• an outgoing and friendly manner, comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone
• the ability to run groups or communicate effectively to audiences
• a positive team spirit and eagerness to learn new skills
• initiative and the ability to work independently
• basic computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• a clear understanding and demonstration of privacy boundaries.You will need to be adaptable and flexible to work effectively with your clients and within a dynamic health environment.
