About the Role
We are seeking a Team Coordinator to join our Ward Administration Team which supports patient journeys from pre‑admission through to discharge.
The Team Coordinator takes an organisational view and ensures that all processes are standardised across all wards. With their Team Leader, they coordinate the team and ensure that ward administration staff provide a customer‑focussed, efficient service to patients, relatives and clinical teams.

The Ward Administration Team Coordinator position sits within the Patient Administration Service. There are six teams in this group who collectively manage the provision of a centralised administration service to clinical areas covering all process steps from referral to discharge.
The Ward Administration Team manages the meet and greet, validation of patient information, admission and discharge process as well as general enquiries relating to patients in the wards. They also liaise with clinical staff to ensure that patient throughput is managed effectively, and administration support is provided promptly. Their work is significant because they are pivotal to the day‑to‑day running of the ward.
About you
You will be able to deal with ambiguity, working in an ever‑changing environment and comfortably handling risk and uncertainty. Supervisory experience is essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. It is important you have excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate with members of the team or the public – including those who are distressed or angry.
