Head of Finance (Part-time, 24 hours / week)

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ is one of Aotearoa’s most recognised health charities, working towards our vision of zero deaths from breast cancer. We fund research, drive early detection, provide vital support services, and advocate for better care nationwide.

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy and operations. This key role supports the CEO and Board with high-quality insights, governance reporting, and financial oversight, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our organisation.

What you’ll do :

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Prepare and present financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making
• Oversee grant and funding financial management
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes
• Produce governance reports for the Board and Finance & Risk Subcommittee
• Manage annual financial statements and audit requirements
• Mentor finance staff and oversee financial HR alignment
