We specialise in water network maintenance and reticulation renewal construction. We service almost a quarter of properties nationwide; and we maintain over 20,000kms of pipe network. About the job :

We’re looking for an experienced Quality and H&S Compliance Manager to join our team in Thames!

The role involves :

  • Leading and championing Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance across all, ensuring standards meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement through regular audits, incident investigations, and proactive operations risk management.
  • Overseeing resource consent and environmental compliance, ensuring accurate monitoring, reporting, and alignment with council and regulatory expectations.
  • Partnering with operational teams and contractors to build awareness, capability, and accountability in safety and quality practices.
  • Delivering training, coaching, and leadership that inspires best practice and keeps our people safe, supported, and performing at their best.

What you’ll need :

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in compliance, health & safety, or operational support — ideally in a role where you’ve made a real difference to people and processes.
  • A qualification in Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Resource Management, or Compliance (or equivalent experience).
  • Confident leading audits, investigations, and initiatives that drive safer, smarter, and more sustainable ways of working.
  • Strong understanding of H&S, environmental, and quality frameworks, with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • A natural communicator and collaborator who enjoys supporting others and building trusted relationships.
  • Curious and adaptable, with a genuine passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
