Job descriptionPlan, prepare, and present nutritious menus tailored to residents’ dietary needs. Lead and manage a high-performing team, including rostering and performance reviews. Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management to meet budget targets. Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and infection control standards. Build strong relationships with clients and residents, ensuring exceptional service delivery. Proven experience in a similar leadership role within aged care or hospitality. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive efficiency. Excellent communication and team management skills with a hands-on approach. In-depth knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and workplace regulations. Computer literate and confident using systems for rostering, ordering, and reporting. We are seeking a Chef Manager to lead our catering operations at CHT Hillsborough , a senior living site in Auckland. This role combines hands-on culinary expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality meals and exceptional service for residents. You’ll manage catering, cleaning, and laundry services while driving compliance, team development, and commercial success.
Successful candidates will be able to pass per-employment checks satisfactorily.
