Programmes Coordinator - Wairoa Community Centre

The Wairoa Community Centre is a vibrant hub service a diverse community. We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and community minded Programmes Coordinator to oversee a variety of programmes, including stadium programmes and swim school lessons. If you have a passion for sport, recreation and working with people of all ages and you possess strong leadership, administration and organisational skills, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities as the Programmes Coordinator will include but are not limited to :

• Foster a positive, friendly and inclusive atmosphere among customers, staff and user groups
• Manage and support a team of swim instructors and stadium attendants, providing training and leadership in line with organisational values
• Oversee the planning, administration and delivery of programmes, including stadium programmes and swim instruction
• Teach swimming lessons as and when required
• Maintain strong relationships with sports teams, clubs and community groups to increase utilisation and ongoing bookings
• Ensure all facilities and equipment are clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Uphold and promote high standards of health and safety
• Assist with the development and implementation of new programmes and initiatives
• Manage budgeting and administrative tasks as required
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Comfortable working with children and adults of all ages
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
• Passion for sport, recreation and aquatic activities
• Flexible and able to work mornings, evenings, Monday to Thursday and possibly a Saturday morning.
