The Role
This role is demanding and diverse. You will hunt, develop, and manage direct sales relationships with key customers, influencing their product and service specifications with decision-makers to secure long-term partnerships with McCarthy Brands.
You will follow up on leads from internal sources or your own initiatives, engaging with customers to maximize closures and maintain long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a "hunter" to acquire new business.
- Establish strong internal relationships across McCarthy Brands.
- Manage all sales activities, including lead generation, contacts, opportunities, and pipeline management.
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly business plans to exceed sales quotas by selling McCarthy Brands' products to small, medium, and large businesses.
- Align our products and services with customer strategies to build long-term partnerships and add value.
- Proactively develop sales forecasts, log opportunities, and maintain a pipeline using our sales database.
- Identify target customers in ANZ & Pacific Islands, developing plans to engage them, focusing on key vertical markets like retail and small businesses.
- Work with resellers and attend end-user meetings to close sales faster and reduce sales cycles.
- Monitor market and competitor activity, providing feedback to marketing and management.
- Spend at least 50% of your time customer-facing.
- Develop and implement sales campaigns.
Minimum Requirements
At least 2 years of experience or relevant studies.Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills.Proven ability to build and execute sales strategies.Ability to adapt and execute in a changing environment.Willingness to travel approximately 50%.Strong relationship-building skills and a wide professional network.Self-motivated and independent worker.Entrepreneurial mindset with innovative ideas.Results-driven with a can-do attitude.Strong organizational and data analysis skills.Qualifications
Degree or pathway in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Experience in consumer product or brand marketing preferred.Strong strategic, project management, and organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office.Driver's license and own vehicle.Legal right to work in Australia and New Zealand.Remuneration
This is a commission-only sales agent role with uncapped earning potential, ranging from $55k to over $120k+ with unlimited support and training. Short-term contracts may lead to permanent positions.
