About the Role
As our National Key Account Manager, you will :
- Manage key account relationships in the South Island, ensuring strong commercial and operational performance.
- Own and grow a portfolio of national key accounts, driving joint business plans that lift revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
- Be the primary commercial partner for each account, leading strategic account management, new business development, compliance, and margin improvement.
- Work closely with Regional GMs and procurement teams to ensure seamless service delivery and stock alignment.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and champion CRM best practices across the team.
This role is based in Christchurch, reports directly to the GM – South Island, and offers the potential to develop into a senior national-level account management position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop account-specific strategies aligned with revenue and gross profit targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels.Lead contract negotiations, margin management, and national pricing strategies where required.Drive basket profitability through data insights and strategic product substitution.Support GM with reporting, presentations, and project rollouts.Collaborate on marketing initiatives, events, and customer-facing activities.KPIs include :

You're a motivated and experienced business development professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering results. Ideally, you have :
3+ years' experience in B2B sales or business development (hunter role).Proven track record of meeting or exceeding new business targets.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.Tech-savvy with CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office proficiency.Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence multiple decision-makers.A valid NZ driver's license and flexibility for local travel and occasional overnight stays.Preferred :
Experience in the food service or hospitality industry.Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling.Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.Why Service Foods?
