Are you passionate about healthcare technology and ready to make a difference in patient care? We are seeking a skilled Clinical Engineer to join our Clinical Engineering team, supporting Mid Central and Whanganui Hospitals with safe, efficient, and sustainable health technology services.

About the Role

As a Clinical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring medical equipment and systems are safe, functional, and compliant. You'll be hands‑on across the full equipment lifecycle—from procurement and installation to calibration, maintenance, and decommissioning—directly supporting clinicians to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and service medical devices and systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
• Perform equipment calibration, performance checks, repairs, and decontamination.
• Support onboarding, configuration, and commissioning of new medical technology.
• Assist with safety alerts, recalls, incident investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, vendors, and national HTM partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and cost‑efficiency in operations.
