AUT’s School of Art and Design maintains a strong reputation within the industry for producing outstanding graduates. The Animation, Visual Effects, and Game Design Major, offered within the Bachelor of Design program, adopts an integrated experiential approach to its pathways in Animation, Visual Effects, and Game Design. This period marks an exciting phase of growth and transformation for the programme, which has expanded considerably and is now one of the largest undergraduate majors within the School. Serving as a foundation for our highly esteemed Master of Design and PhD programmes, graduates from this major are highly regarded and sought after in the industry.

We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in contemporary aspects of AVG design and expertise in design research methodologies; prior experience in delivering innovative design studio and theoretical coursework is regarded as advantageous.
A collaborative, open, and engaging attitude that is adaptable to the requirements of the School is essential.
