Job description

ConsultANZ is seeking a Regional Manager for a leading civil infrastructure contractor overseeing operations across Construction, Surfacing, Quarries, and Road Maintenance in the Southland Region. This senior leadership role is based in Invercargill and manages approximately 250 staff with an annual spend of $80M.

Main Duties

Lead and manage Southland regional operations across multiple divisions
Oversee 8 direct reports and a total workforce of 250 staff
Manage budgets, resources, and performance across all business areas
Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met
Build strong relationships with clients, councils, and subcontractors
Drive operational excellence, staff development, and business growth

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Over 10 years’ experience in civil construction or infrastructure operations

Proven leadership in managing large teams and complex contracts

Strong financial, commercial, and people management skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
