We have enjoyed over 60 years of success to date and continue to grow, now awaiting the arrival of our new service Technician based in the Ashburton branch.

About the role

We are looking for a driven & versatile Small Engine Technician, ideally experienced in ride‑on mower repairs and servicing. You will provide service support to our commercial franchise brands of Ferris, Walker & Cub Cadet ride‑on mowers & Stihl outdoor power equipment. The ideal applicant is versatile in their skill set and is someone who doesn’t mind turning their hand to anything, including minor farm machinery repairs. We are willing to support the right person to learn this side too. We focus on “getting it right the first time and delivering high quality workmanship” and want a motivated individual who wants the opportunity to become a leading technician in our outdoor power workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of at least 3+ years of mechanical work
• Mechanical aptitude & the ability to think outside the square to find cost effective, timely repair solutions
• Positive attitude, and interested in developing their own potential
• People orientated, team player with well‑developed communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail, diligence and follow through
• Good time management skills, organised and commercially focused
• Must relate to the company’s core values
• Versatile and able to turn their hand to anything from small engine repair to basic welding jobs
