Heavy Diesel Mechanic

About the role :

Our heavy diesel mechanics play an important role in ensuring the continuity of operations by ensuring our fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment is well maintained and in optimal working order.

With a base in our Silverdale workshop, you will be required to perform field servicing on our machines across all of our Auckland sites, from Millwater to Beachlands. You will be working on a variety of earthworks and civil construction plant including :

• Excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers / scoops, rollers, compactors, dump trucks and tractors, as well as road trucks and occasionally light vehicles.
• We run predominantly CAT machinery supplemented with Hidromek and Kobelco with a few other brands scattered in.

Working within such a busy sector, you will be required to work from Monday to Saturday. The summer season is our period therefore flexibility in work hours is important.

About You :

You are a qualified heavy diesel mechanic with at least two years’ experience working on heavy machinery.

We have potential work coming up in the wider Waikato area, so flexibility for short term stints or possible relocation to those regions would be advantageous.
