Registered Mental Health Professional

Arataki Ministries provide community mental health services in Whangarei and the wider Northland area. We currently have a casual vacancy for a Qualified Registered Health Professional based in our 6-bed flatting style community Intensive Supported Rehabfacility located in Whangarei.

We endeavour to make a real difference for Tangata Whaiora with mental illness who would otherwise have a long stay in the acute mental health ward but whose special needs can be met in a community / NGO setting with style, innovation and strengths focus.

The successful applicant will :

• Be a Qualified Registered Mental Health Professional (Nurse, Social Worker, etc.)
• Have a current practising certificate
• Have a sound knowledge of working with people with mental health & addiction and have a recovery and strengths focus
• Have common sense and ability to work as a member of the team and autonomously
• Have knowledge of community resources available is highly desirable
• Have good communication skills; verbal and written
• Have strong IT skills
• Have a full and clean driver’s licence
• Have a clear police record
