Head of Retail | Maternity Cover

Overview

Superette is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Retail to lead our store network during a maternity fixed term contract period of 11–12 months. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for inspiring and guiding our Store Managers and their teams to deliver sales growth, operational excellence, and unforgettable world‑class customer experiences.

Details

Maternity Cover – Fixed term contract. Duration : Starting prior to Christmas ideally, through to October 2026. Full time : Monday – Friday. Based in Superette HQ – Takapuna, Auckland.

Responsibilities

• Oversee retail performance to achieve sales, margin, and NPS / Google review targets.
• Lead, coach, and mentor Store Managers to build high‑performing, engaged teams.
• Champion operational excellence through resourcing, compliance, and process improvements.
• Drive customer experience initiatives that strengthen relationships and brand loyalty.
• Partner with Directors and marketing to align retail, brand, and business goals.
• Lead retail projects including refits, new openings, and health & safety standards.
• Provide reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations to support growth.
