A respected construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Wellington team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the health, education, commercial, civic, and infrastructure sectors, delivering value and clarity at every stage of the project life cycle.
You'll play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and driving the successful delivery of projects — from early feasibility through to completion.
Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are well-organised, commercially sound, and delivered to the highest standard.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for managing scope, programme, budget, and risk, while maintaining clear communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
Your approach will balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery — helping clients make confident, informed decisions that lead to successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include :
Leading projects from planning and procurement through to delivery and handover
Coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment
Monitoring cost, programme, quality, and risk performance
Preparing project documentation, reports, and governance updates
Building trusted relationships with clients and delivery partners
About You
You'll bring strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a practical understanding of how construction projects get built.
Calm under pressure and confident in your communication, you're someone who values precision, structure, and accountability.
You will have :
A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline
5-10 years' project management experience (client-side or contractor background)
Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale projects in New Zealand
Knowledge of NZS
Strong stakeholder and team management skills
A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving
