Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Digger Operator to join a busy civil and infrastructure team working on industrial subdivisions, slip repairs, retaining walls, drainage installations, roading upgrades and general earthworks.

Based in Silverdale, you will operate machinery ranging from 1.5T to 30T and support site operations with precision and professionalism. What makes this role stand out is the clear pathway into Site Management. You will be supported by senior staff to build leadership capability, learn project delivery processes and gradually take ownership of daily site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently across earthworks, drainage, retaining and civil construction projects
• Support Site Supervisors and Project Managers with daily planning and site coordination
• Assist with set out, trenching, backfilling, foundation preparation and general civil tasks
• Maintain plant and machinery to a high standard
• Uphold strong safety, environmental and quality practices
• Help monitor materials, deliveries and subcontractor activities
• Develop the skills to lead crews and eventually manage entire work fronts
• Assist with reporting, documentation and progress tracking as you grow
