At Hoon Hay Medical Centre we pride ourselves in delivering excellent patient-focused primary care within a well-established community. With a patient population of over 6,400 we have provided care to generations of families over many years.

We are seeking a part-time Practice Nurse. This exciting opportunity to join our busy, friendly general practice team is offered to a registered nurse who has proven and transferable skills. Ideally you will have worked in general practice previously and will be an authorised vaccinator, and possibly a smear taker. However, consideration will be given if you do not have general practice experience. You must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC.

We need someone who can offer great customer service to our patients. You will work alongside our clinical and administrative colleagues and have the enthusiasm to grow within a cohesive and supportive team. You will need to be flexible and positive, keen to learn and have great attention to detail.

This position is for 32 hours per week worked as 8 hours per day Tuesday to Friday, or possibly afternoons on Monday and Tuesday, then all day Wednesday to Friday. Based on full days, there is a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day and a 6.00pm finish at least one day per week. You may be asked to work additional hours to cover the absences of colleagues from time to time. Our PMS is MedTech Evolution. Pay is in accordance with the PHC MECA.
