Senior Laboratory Technician – Wellington

We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician to conduct testing on aggregates, soil and asphalt while maintaining IANZ requirements.

The role involves both laboratory and field work, with flexibility for night shift and weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out testing on aggregates, soil, and asphalt.

Develop test methods and apply existing international and local methodologies.

Ensure equipment checks prior to use and undertake maintenance as needed.

Stay up to date with current pavement design, delivery and product technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

Relevant qualification in science or civil engineering.

At least 4 years of experience in material testing.

Previous IANZ signatory / KTP status.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Office).

Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills.

Good physical fitness.

Team player and role model.

Full NZ Class 1 licence with ability to drive a manual transmission.

All successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen prior to employment.
