We are seeking a committed, passionate and inspiring class teacher to join the Tarras School team in

• as a permanent full-time class teacher.

This position is likely to be in the senior classroom, Y4-8.

Tarras School is a small, growing, rural school, situated 25 minutes from Wanaka and Cromwell, at the base of the Lindis Pass.

The tamariki are engaged, hardworking, eager to learn and love hands-on, practical learning that is relevant to them.

The parents are extremely friendly, supportive and welcoming with the wider community showing great support and generosity.

The successful candidate will be :

Hardworking, solutions-focused, shows initiative and 'gets amongst' school life

Can collaborate and work as a team, but equally be independent

Fosters positive relationships with tamariki, staff, whanau and the wider community

Uses evidence based teaching to bring out the best in every learner with strengths in Structured Literacy and Maths

Have a current New Zealand Teacher registration
