Job Description As Fleet and Commercial Manager for our Pacific Bulk Fuel (PBF) business, you will oversee the efficient, safe and cost-effective management of our specialised fuel fleet across New Zealand, Fiji and Singapore.
This position plays an essential role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting commercial performance across the PBF network.
You will manage day to day fleet activity, including lease agreements, unit movements, repairs and maintenance, testing schedules and asset optimisation.
A key part of the role involves monitoring fleet utilisation, tracking units across multiple hubs and ensuring all equipment meets required standards.
You will also manage supplier and customer agreements, ensuring service levels, pricing and compliance obligations are met.
As the PBF Health and Safety Champion, you will maintain safety documentation, support audit readiness and investigate incidents as required.
The role includes responsibility for reporting, budgeting and forecasting, working closely with the wider team to deliver accurate monthly updates and annual plans.
You will foster positive relationships with internal teams and external partners, representing PBF professionally and seeking opportunities to improve operational and commercial outcomes.
Qualifications Experience Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar fleet or commercial management role.
Strong background in fleet operations, asset management and supplier management.
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and cost management.
Strong organisational and managerial capability, with the ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment.
Understanding of health and safety requirements within fleet or operational settings.
Skills Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to fleet management and workplace health and safety.
Confident communication and relationship management skills.
Strong problem solving ability and comfort working across multiple tasks and priorities.
Solid understanding of system transactions, databases and inventory or fleet management software.
CargoWise experience is an advantage.
Intermediate Microsoft Office capability.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and remain open to learning and development.
Experience with dangerous goods compliance is beneficial but not essential.
