Job Title : Kaiāwhina
Rotorua District Presbyterian Church – Ngongotaha, North Island
The primary role of the Kaiāwhina is to nurture and empower the Trinity community centre team to meet needs in the Ngongotahā community.
Key roles are to work with the Pantry Coordinator, the Administrator and the Community Facing Ministries (CFM) designated Minister to encourage, grow and develop the team of volunteers to deliver on the vision and principles / values of the service. The Kaiāwhina will work in partnership and connect with other ministries of the Rotorua District Presbyterian Church (RDPC).
Responsible to : Convenor Community Facing Ministries Committee
Direct Reports : Trinity Pantry Coordinator and Trinity Administrator
Functional Relationships : Trinity Volunteers, other CFM staff and volunteers, CFM designated Minister, RDPC Office Manager
Hours : 15 hours per week
Leave : 4 weeks annual leave per annum, pro rata

About the Rotorua District Presbyterian Church
The Rotorua District Presbyterian Church (RDPC) is a centralised entity which oversees the running of three churches (St John’s, St David’s and Ngakuru Community Church), and the Community Facing Ministries (CFM) services which includes the Trinity Church Community Centre in Ngongotah’a (Trinity). The Trinity community’s overarching stewardship lies with the CFM Committee which reports to the RDPC Council. The RDPC puts high importance into supporting initiatives that nurture the physical, mental and spiritual safety and wellbeing of the Rotorua / Ngongotah’a community.
