Senior Financial Accountant

OverviewArchway are excited to be supporting a leading listed company who are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Project / Financial Accountant to join their team in a unique and impactful role.

This is an opportunity initially to combine core financial management with exciting project work on a 12 month contract.ResponsibilitiesThis role is a genuine mix of BAU and project work.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day financial processes for a subsidiary business, while also being actively involved in the organisations growth plans, supporting shaping and implementing new initiatives and schemes in to the GL / Finance system.

Key responsibilities include : Day to day financial and operational management of accounting function for a subsidiary business.Supporting the project team by reviewing and defining BAU process documentation, and generating project documentation to support automation of month-end processes.Developing financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and good practice.Managing aspects of the data management system, analysing data to identify trends and inform decision-making.Other ad-hoc financial accounting responsibilities as required.About YouRole This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and can confidently balance both routine finance tasks as well as forward-looking project work.

Ideally, you'll bring : Chartered Accountant qualification (preferred).

Experience ideally in a firm environment supplemented by several years experience in the commercial sector.Finance project experience — designing and implementing solutions.Strong understanding of accounting data flows, risks, and standards.Advanced reporting and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret numerical data and present it clearly to different audiences.Excellent data analysis skills, with proven ability to identify trends and inform decisions.A proactive, switched-on approach, and the energy to thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture.You\'ll also possess "a bit between the teeth" and be able to challenge ideas and question the status quo!
