About the role

Argus is looking for an Assistant Accountant who loves accuracy, thrives on tidy reconciliations, and enjoys being the go-to person for transactional excellence. This role is hands‑on, varied, and central to keeping the financial engine running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting tasks while also having room to contribute to process improvements as they modernise and grow.

What you’ll be doing :

• Managing AP / AR processing with speed and precision
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Performing daily bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting month‑end processes and providing accurate financial information
• Preparing tax information (GST, PAYE, FBT)
• Assisting with payroll when required
• Working closely with suppliers, customers, and teams across the business
