Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient-focused Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice in Wellington, New Zealand. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients while also providing chairside assistance to our dental professionals.

• Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate and organisepatient records and documentation
• Schedule appointments, manage patient inquiries, and handle administrative tasks efficiently
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care
• Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients and colleagues

The hours for this role are :

• Monday - Friday : 7.45am - 5.15pm

This is a fixed term position for parental leave.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
• Previous experience in dental assisting or reception (helpful but not required)
• A friendly, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented approach to work
• Willingness to collaborate with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment
