Video Editor – Documentary YouTube (German)

Join a dynamic content creation team focused on producing long‑form, documentary‑style YouTube videos centered on history, storytelling, and educational topics. This role involves transforming detailed German‑language scripts and voice‑overs into visually compelling narratives that engage and inform viewers. The position is remote and offers the potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects.

Deliverables

Edit 20–30 minute documentary‑style YouTube videos from provided German scripts and voice‑overs
Align visuals closely with the narrative to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
Implement clean structure, effective pacing, and thoughtful transitions throughout each video
Source and integrate relevant stock footage, images, and graphics as needed
Ensure all edits meet high‑quality standards for clarity, flow, and visual appeal
Collaborate with the content creator to refine and finalize each video

Requirements

Proven experience editing long‑form documentary or educational videos, preferably for YouTube

Strong proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)

Excellent understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling

Ability to work with German‑language scripts and voice‑overs; German language proficiency is essential

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, high‑quality content

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting

Creative mindset with a passion for history, storytelling, and educational content
