Our client, a dynamic and highly regarded venue known for exceptional hospitality, high service standards, and a vibrant atmosphere are on the look out for their next Bar Manager. They are seeking an experienced, energetic, and forward‑thinking Bar Manager who can lead our bar to new levels of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the bar’s daily operations with confidence and clarity.
- Manage a team of 12 bar staff
- Ensure all open / close procedures, service standards, and presentation expectations are met flawlessly.
- Build a high performing team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example
- Maintain exceptional product quality and consistency across all drinks.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving, and accurate stock rotation to reduce waste and protect margins.
- Continuously improve systems, workflow, and service speed.
- Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and promotions that drive revenue.
- Hours 40+ per week; roster flexible over 7 days, mostly nights; must be available for weekends; as the business requires etc

A confident, inspiring leader who brings energy and professionalism to every shift.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.Strong operational awareness and the ability to maintain standards at pace.Effective problem‑solver who stays calm under pressure.Highly organised, reliable, and proactive with exceptional attention to detail.Passionate about hospitality and driven to elevate the bar’s performance.Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar position with 5+ years of experience.LCQ or relevant industry qualification preferred.Strong knowledge of cocktails, beers and wines emerging beverage trends.Experience managing rostering, stock, service standards, and customer satisfaction.Must have NZ Working Rights!
