Account Manager / Sales Hunter - Machinery & Equipment Hire

KPI Recruitment is proud to be partnering exclusively with Pronto Hire – a modern, well‑established, 100% New Zealand‑owned machinery hire company with branches in Silverdale and Warkworth.

Pronto Hire supplies high‑quality, modern equipment across Auckland, Lower Northland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty, helping customers drive their projects forward with reliability and service excellence.

The Opportunity

This is a high‑impact role for a driven sales professional who loves being out on the road, meeting clients, creating opportunities, and closing deals. You will be the face of Pronto Hire in your territory – building relationships, generating new business, and growing market share across a booming sector.

What You’ll Be Doing

Hunting & Growth

Grow revenue across Auckland, Northland, Waikato & Bay of Plenty
Build a strong pipeline through site visits, outbound calls, networking & presentations
Convert leads and close deals quickly

Account Management

Manage and grow key accounts through regular check‑ins and site visits

Provide exceptional customer service and quick follow‑ups

Maintain long‑term relationships built on trust and solutions

Sales Strategy & Execution

Execute personal sales plans and achieve monthly KPIs

Identify upsell / cross‑sell opportunities

Track quotes, conversions and sales activity in CRM

Use market insights and competitor knowledge to position Pronto Hire ahead of the rest

Pricing & Quoting

Create accurate, timely quotes

Protect margins with smart commercial decision‑making

Support long‑term rental agreements and bundled deals

About You

A natural sales hunter with strong closing ability

Confident meeting customers face‑to‑face and over the phone

Proactive, organised and disciplined with follow‑ups

Experienced in B2B sales (hire, machinery, construction, or related sectors a bonus)

Relationship‑driven, commercially smart and keen to build a territory
