ConsultANZ is seeking an H&S Manager to join a large-scale, technically challenging infrastructure project in Canterbury, New Zealand. You will be responsible for championing a proactive safety culture and ensuring regulatory and contractual HSE compliance from mobilisation through to project completion.
Main Duties
- Establish and manage site-wide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems
- Lead inductions, audits, and HSE investigations
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager and project team to drive strong safety performance
- Monitor site training records and ensure continuous compliance
- Lead and mentor a small HSE team (2 Coordinators)
- Review subcontractor work packs to ensure compliance with safety legislation and site requirements
- Implement and maintain permit-to-work systems and plant inductions
Requirements
