Bluff School is seeking to appoint a part-time, fixed-term classroom release teacher to support ākonga and kaiako two days per week (0.4 FTTE). Located in Bluff, Murihiku (Southland), our school is deeply connected to its community and surrounding environment. We work hard to ensure that every ākonga is able to thrive during their time at Bluff School and are now seeking support from a classroom release teacher to support the effective delivery of teaching and learning.

As our classroom release teacher you would work two days per week on a rotating schedule providing release for our five full time teachers. We are looking for someone who is a passionate and dedicated teacher with classroom experience looking to grow their experience. The role will commence in term 1, 2026 and conclude at the end of term 4, 2026.

• Bring mana, warmth and compassion to their role
• Hold deep curriculum knowledge and have teaching experience
• Inspire our ākonga to thrive and succeed academically, culturally and personally
• Collaborate effectively with school staff and whānau
• Build strong relationships with all facets of the Bluff School community
• Be an effective communicator.
