About the Role
We’re excited to be partnering with a growing civil construction company to recruit a Business Manager who thrives on structure, compliance, and continuous improvement. This is a pivotal role where you’ll oversee financial, operational, and administrative systems to keep projects running smoothly and profitably.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll manage key business functions including :
- Financial & Claims Management – Ensure accurate invoicing, debtor control, and monthly profitability reporting.
- Fleet Management – Maintain compliance and optimize asset utilization using Fleet Pin.
- Purchase Order & Delegated Authority – Implement and enforce PO systems and approval frameworks.
- HR & Payroll Administration – Oversee timesheets, payroll, onboarding, and leave management.
- Health & Safety – Drive compliance through HazardCo and proactive PPE management.
- Systems & Reporting – Deliver timely, accurate reports and continuously improve workflows.
What Success Looks Like
100% compliance across invoicing, fleet, and safety systems.Debtor days under 30 and accurate monthly profitability reports.Zero overdue hazard or incident follow-ups.Implementation of process improvements that boost efficiency.About You
Strong financial acumen and understanding of construction claims.Operational discipline with a knack for compliance.Proficiency in systems like Xero, Fleet Pin, and HazardCo preferred.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Integrity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.Apply Today
