Job description

At Worthy, our reach extends far beyond New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Our remit extends above and beyond to diversify across almost every category wherever fabric is used. Our team is incredibly knowledgeable, offering technical expertise in fabrics and fashion, ensuring that you receive the best products for all aspects of garment production. We serve a diverse range of industries, supplying quality fabrics and fashion items to garment manufacturers in sports, schools, and corporate sectors.

In addition to our textiles, the fast‑growing products side of our business is making waves across the Pacific. We proudly distribute major FMCG brands and general merchandise, ensuring that customers throughout the region have access to top quality products that meet their needs. This expansion allows us to serve a broader range of industries and continue our commitment to enriching communities through diverse offerings.

Worthy also owns two FMCG distribution businesses in New Zealand, VJTrading (now known as Worthy Products) and DutchRusk. Both brands operate independently and specialise in supplying FMCG goods across various retail and wholesale channels, further expanding our presence and capability in the consumer products sector.

Position Overview

Worthy is looking for a sales support & customer service specialist who is culturally diverse, self‑motivated, and committed to representing our brand with enthusiasm and excellence.

The successful candidate will have at least 1‑2 years of sales support or customer service admin experience in FMCG. The salary band for this role will reflect the level of experience you have. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a relentless focus on customer satisfaction, accuracy, efficiency and is committed to growing with our company.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Tech‑savvy and proficient in using ERP and CRM systems to manage orders, customer interactions, and operational workflows efficiently.
  • A customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering top‑notch service.
  • Familiarity with textiles, garments, or FMCG products.
  • Multilingual skills, especially in languages spoken in the Asian or Pacific region, may be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

What you will do

  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via online, phone, email, and chat.
  • Provide product information, pricing, and order assistance to customers.
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Process orders, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure data integrity in our systems.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and logistics teams for complex issues.
  • Keep customers informed about order status, shipment tracking, and delivery times.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell products to customers.
  • Raise purchase orders and process goods receipt entries in the system.
  • Provide accurate product, pricing, and order information.
  • Support the sales team with documentation, quotes, and CRM updates.
