Electrician - Meat Processing Plant
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join a hardworking team within a busy meat processing facility. This is a key role responsible for maintaining electrical systems, supporting production uptime, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and servicing across the plant
- Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance in line with production schedules
- Assist with planning and execution of shutdown works and large-scale maintenance projects
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with NZ standards and site safety policies
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Support mechanical team members where required (within scope of electrical duties)
- Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to GMP and hygiene requirements
Experience & Requirements
Must hold a current NZ Electrical Practising Licence (EWRB Registered Electrician)Proven experience working as an industrial or maintenance electricianPrevious employment in a food production or processing plant is highly advantageousStrong troubleshooting ability across motors, conveyors, sensors, PLCs, control systems, and automated machineryComfortable working with high-speed production equipmentExperience supporting shutdowns, upgrades, and project workAbility to work independently and prioritise tasks effectivelyStrong communication skills and a proactive, hardworking attitudeMust be able to pass :Drug testMinistry of Justice checkReference checksWhat's on Offer
