Prometric Test Centre Assistant (TCA)- Two Positions

Prometric is an American company proctoring exams for a range of clients including English language (TOEFL), finance, project management, veterinary, dental, medical. AIS administers the only Prometric test centre in New Zealand.

Security is an extremely high priority to protect Prometric clients’ Intellectual Property. The administration area and candidate workstation area are under continuous camera surveillance and camera footage for every test centre is audited on a regular basis for irregularities.

This is a casual position with variable hours of work vary depending on the duration of the exams being administered and what pre- and post-exam checks are required. This is specifically a weekend role.

Duties

TCAs must be reliable, patient, have good communication skills, and be observant.

• Opening the centre and / or closing the centre with the senior TCA.
• Conducting IBT Verify Demo tests on each workstation before candidates arrive.
• Orientation for candidates in the waiting area – explaining the requirements, making sure they have the correct ID, etc.
• Processing candidates checking in. This includes the detailed security checks required by the Standard Operating Practice (SOP).
• Processing candidates in and out of the testing room at compulsory break periods – all security checks must be repeated before candidates re-enter the test area.
• Familiarity with general Prometric rules and regulations (SOP) including security requirements.
• Familiarity with the different requirements of clients, e.g. types of acceptable ID, break periods, etc.
• Conducting physical walkthroughs at 5 minute intervals and visual walkthroughs (via workstation cameras and observation window) in between physical observations.
• Writing reports (CPRs) for all irregularities.
• Liaison with the Prometric Global Help Desk when problems occur.
