Café Assistant |Clevedon (Ōtau Ridge Village)

About the role

We are looking for a fabulous Café Assistant to work in our stunning Ōtau Ridge Village in Clevedon. You will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends, while also helping provide a great dining experience!

This is a permanent, part time position working 14 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays from 8.30am to 4pm.

Some of the great things you will be doing :

• Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
• Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
• Serving and collecting meals in our café
• preparing and serving cabinet food and light meals
• Operating the cash register
• General cleaning including café equipment and washing up in the kitchen
• Additional Kitchen duties as and when required

About you

You will have exceptional customer service skills, a vibrant and welcoming personality, enjoy giving service with a smile and you can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once.

Some things that will support your application include :

• A warm and friendly nature and a 'Can do attitude'
• Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
• A good command of spoken and written English
• A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and / or commercial kitchen experience
