Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for a Regional Planner to play a key role in shaping and implementing our regional / district plans that integrate heritage, recreation, biodiversity and community priorities within the Central North Island region. You will collaborate across the region to ensure that planning and performance activities support long‑term outcomes while providing guidance and advice to our district leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Working with local teams to establish priorities and ensure regional context is reflected in our planning.
• Performance monitoring and reporting, providing assurance on progress toward targets.
• Contributing to regional reports and making recommendations.
• Support regional tasks in support of the Central North Island Director and Regional Leadership Team.
• Support improvement initiatives that advance conservation outcomes and regional capability and culture.
• Supporting our region with funding bids for reactive work, and 10-year capital planning for strategic outcomes.
