We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Community MentalHealth Professional (CMHP) to join our dynamic team on the West Coast.

This isa rewarding opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing ofindividuals and their whanau in a beautiful and unique part of Aotearoa.About the RoleAs a CMHP, you will provide safe, evidence-based, and culturally appropriatemental health care in alignment with Health NZ Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o PoutiniWest Coast's values.

This includes : Managinga caseload, completing assessments, risk management, and recovery-focusedtreatment planningProvidingtriage, crisis intervention, and brief interventionsUndertakingduties under the Mental Health Act as a Duly Authorised Officer (trainingprovided if not current)Collaboratingwith service users, whanau, and interprofessional teams to supportrecovery and wellbeingContributingto the achievement of equitable health outcomes for Maori and ruralpopulationsYou will also be responsible for : Ensuringprofessional, legal, and ethical standards are metMaintainingaccurate clinical documentation and data securityDemonstratingaccountability and leadership in clinical decision-makingSupportingculturally safe and inclusive care for tangata whenua and all serviceusersAbout youNewZealand Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional (e.g., SocialWorker, Occupational Therapist)CurrentAnnual Practising CertificateMinimumof three years' experience in mental healthStrongunderstanding of cultural safety and the principles of Te Tiriti oWaitangiFullNew Zealand driver's licence (manual transmission preferred)Competenceusing electronic health systems and clinical documentation platformsCurrentDAO warrant (or willingness to complete training)CEP(Co-Existing Problems) capabilityExperiencewith talking therapies or brief interventionsFamiliaritywith West Coast community resourcesIf aRegistered Nurse, a current portfolio as part of the ProfessionalDevelopment and Recognition Programme (PDRP)Working at HealthNew ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Orais dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
