Project Manager or Site Manager

Based in Palmerston North

Our client is a respected commercial construction company with a strong forward workload across civic, education, and health projects. They’ve built their reputation on practical delivery, clear communication, and genuine care for their people.

They’re now looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of commercial projects from planning through to handover. This role will suit an experienced Project Manager or a proven Site Manager who’s ready to step into a broader leadership position while still staying connected to delivery.

You’ll work as part of a capable and stable team that values collaboration over hierarchy. With robust systems, experienced support across QS and procurement, and a culture built on teamwork, this is a chance to take the next step without losing the hands‑on satisfaction of getting projects across the line.

The role includes :

• Overseeing commercial construction projects from pre‑start to completion
• Managing programme, quality, budget, and client communication
• Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and internal delivery teams
• Leading site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality outcomes
• Supporting and mentoring teams while keeping projects on track
