Company Description This position sits within the Digital Services division of the People, Performance and Culture group.
The purpose of this group is to enable Hamilton City Council to become a leading, community-focused council by helping teams prioritise important work, ensuring they have the right systems, processes, and tools, and improving the way they work.
Role Overview
We are seeking two dynamic ERP Functional Specialists to help craft our innovative platforms within HR & Regulatory and Finance & Assets.
Responsibilities
Actively contribute to design and enhancement, including responsibilities related to designing operational workflows and optimising processes.
Configure ERP modules, business rules, workflows, and security roles using best practice principles.
Develop and maintain queries, scripts, and reports to support analysis, validation, and audit.
Understand the importance of best practice and governance to ensure the platform remains upgrade-safe and future-proof, minimising custom code and vendor lock-in.
Deliver high quality configuration documentation and data dictionaries.
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, data, and integration issues across ERP modules.
Work closely with vendors and integrators to coordinate fixes, enhancements, and upgrades.
Understand problem and priority incident management processes and procedures applied to analyse, identify root cause, work arounds, business communication and testing to resolve and return systems to operating state.
Participate in system testing, UAT, and release validation to ensure functional integrity.
Technical Skills
Have a deep understanding of modern SaaS platforms and ERP functionality.
Excel in collaborative settings, promoting a culture of excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Enjoy learning about what the business does and being the technology expert within your platform team's domain to support the delivery of appropriate solutions.
Have strong communication skills and able to translate technical concepts to non-technical people.
Comfortable working within an Agile scrum framework.
Can identify continuous improvement opportunities that simplify processes and reduce manual work.
Able to work independently, manage workloads, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Experience making ERP and connected systems meet the needs of the organisation.
Worked in either Assets, Finance, HR or Regulatory operational business units.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively manage challenging and diverse customer needs.
Have a deep understanding of modern Saas platforms and at least one ERP system such as IPS, Datascape, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
