Playcentre Aotearoa, a well-known early childhood organization, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join Tirau Playcentre in Waikato.
The position is permanent and part-time (10.5 hrs a week) during the school term.
Start date 27 January
Responsibilities
You will work alongside members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning, and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
Ideal candidate
Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher, or an early childhood qualification Level 4 or higher.
Hold a current first-aid certificate or be willing to achieve one.
Desirable skills and experience
Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
A passion for Playcentre and its philosophy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.
Passion for empowering and engaging with all whanau to feel a sense of belonging on our sessions.
Knowledge of ECE regulations.
Ability to use technology.
Qualifications
Applicant must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
