About The Role (your Why)

As a Senior Cloud Platform Specialist in our dedicated Datacom Cloud team, you’ll be the lead expert in IBM storage technologies for a key client account. You will collaborate closely with your team to oversee and manage storage arrays, taking an active role in administering and transitioning infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on IBM enterprise‑grade IBM storage solutions.

Our offices are based in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Tauranga and Hamilton.

What You’ll Do

• Leading IBM storage operations and strategy within the client's environment.
• Administering IBM enterprise storage arrays including the IBM 7000 series Flash storage arrays, IBM 9000 Flash storage arrays, and IBM 8000 series mainframes.
• Managing IBM Spectrum Control, performing proactive monitoring and optimisation.
• Delivering end‑to‑end managed storage services and contributing to hybrid cloud solutions.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring others in IBM storage practices, and driving process improvements.
• Liaising closely with the client to align storage capabilities with changing business requirements.
• Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning for IBM storage environments.
