Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to : 0.4, Start Date : 26 / 01 / 2026, End Date : 03 / 07 / 2026 (To allow centre whanau to work through education).

Playcentre Aotearoa is a well known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children’s learning through play. Playcentre operates over 400 Playcentres throughout the country.

Tamahere Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community. You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme. You will be a leader who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.

26 January 2026 - negotiable with the successful candidate.

Days & hours

Monday – Friday 9am–12.30pm. This is a fixed term position ending 3 July 2026.

The ideal candidate will

• Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.
