Fixed‑term, full‑time Position (1SU) – starting Term 1 2026

Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of ākonga who are blind, deafblind or have low vision?

BLENNZ Auckland North is looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced teacher with current Teacher Registration and up‑to‑date knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and / or Te Whārik i to support the education of ākonga with vision impairments, aged from birth to 21 years.

About the role

As an RTV, you will work collaboratively with schools, whānau, and transdisciplinary teams to ensure that ākonga with vision impairments have equitable access to the curriculum and school life.

Your role will include :

• Assessing and supporting the educational needs of blind, deafblind and low vision ākonga.
• Supporting teacher development in working with vision‑impaired ākonga as inclusive practice.
• Supporting access to adaptive technologies and learning resources, with openness to learning and professional development in this area.
• Working successfully as part of a team is a key component of this itinerant position.
