Job descriptionMonitoring the quality of cooked foods during preparation and presentation. Preparing and cooking and seasoning food. Regulating temperatures of the cooking equipment. Portion food, placing on plates or takeaway boxes and adding gravies and sauces. Responsible for storing food in temperature controlled facilities. Prepare dietary food to meet the customer’s special needs. Planning and adjusting menus accordingly if needed. Keeping kitchen tidy and clean and meeting cleaning and safety standards. Supervising, monitoring and training kitchen staff to maintain the highest standard service at all times. Assisting owner in checking food stocks and placing order from food suppliers. Mastering a full knowledge of the menu and advising cooking procedures. A stable position in Wellington. A supportive and friendly team environment. Good pay $27 to $30 per hour. Guaranteed 30 to 50 hours per week.
we are looking for 2 full-time Chinese Cooks to join their team.
Ideal candidate must have the followings :
- At least 2 years relevant work experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.
- Must be flexible for work, able to work over the weekends and must cover our required shifts.
- Long-term and full commitments are required.
