The Role :

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage a well‑established portfolio of commercial customers while also driving new business development across the Bay of Plenty region.

We are looking for someone who not only nurtures long‑standing relationships but actively grows them, maximising revenue, increasing share of wallet, and identifying smarter, more efficient service solutions.

While there is a large portfolio of existing clients, there is strong expectation around upselling, cross‑selling, and securing targeted new business. You must be confident in your ability to prospect, build relationships, and convert opportunities and drive new business.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial customers across recycling and waste management services.
• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
• Build strong, long‑term customer relationships through regular customer contact, and service reviews.
• Conduct site visits to uncover opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling customised waste and recycling solutions.
• Plan, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across all customers.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations that align with customer requirements and company capabilities.
• Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery and prompt issue resolution.
• Analyse customer information and waste streams to recommend improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and take ownership of resolving escalations or service challenges.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting, and sales forecasting to support business planning and performance tracking.
